CREMER publishes Sustainability Report 2025

Sustainability remains a key element of CREMER STEEL’s business strategy. The newly published Sustainability Report 2025 highlights the business unit’s progress in regulatory compliance, customer support, and the promotion of lower-carbon steel solutions.

Key highlights from 2025

A major milestone was the successful implementation of the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). CREMER STEEL has been granted the status of an Authorized CBAM Declarant, ensuring the ability to continue importing steel products into the EU from 2026 onwards.

Another highlight was the supply of approximately 13,000 tonnes of steel piles for the expansion of a German North Sea port. The project will support the future development of offshore wind energy and featured a low-carbon steel grade that achieved nearly 20,000 tonnes of CO₂ savings compared to conventional production methods.

The report also reflects CREMER STEEL’s commitment to people and sustainability, with 46.2% women in leadership positions, growing employee training activities and continued efforts to improve sustainability performance across the business.
